What's going on, late September 2012

Haven't updated here in a while, as most of my news goes out via Facebook these days.  But in the interest of keeping current here is the latest.

2012 has seen the release of two Joe Frawley discs:

13 Houses and The Mermaid (CD originally released on the Time Released Sound label, now available as download via Bandcamp)

and A Hundred Years - discs are still available as the time of this writing.

Next,  I am thrilled to be collaborating,  for the first time in the role of producer,  with the lovely and talented Michelle Cross on a collection "doll songs".  Michelle hails from Chicago, IL- a prolific piano-based singer/songwriter with very strong Kate Bush/Tori Amos influences.   I'll post more updates as the project progresses.

About Me

My photo
Joe Frawley (b. July 4, 1971) is a composer, pianist and visual artist whose works blur the boundary between music and sound art. By layering and juxtaposing original piano music with processed found sounds, field recordings, and recontextualized speech fragments, the composer creates challenging yet accessible sound assemblages bearing a hypnotic dreamlike quality.
