Music for an exhibition

If you happen to be in Venice April 22 - May 31, my music will be featured as part of the exhibition "Jean François Niceron: Perspective, catoptrics & artificial magic" at University Iuav. In 2011, I was asked by respected scholar and friend Agostino de Rosa to create music for his research on Niceron, a 17th century pioneer of anamorphic art. The results of this work were compiled in the album "Curious Perspectives" (http://joefrawley.bandcamp.com/album/curious-perspectives). I am very proud to be part of this project. Congratulations, Ago! Exhibition info:http://www.iuav.it/Ricerca1/EVENTI-IUA2/Jean-Fran-/index.htm
Thank also to Greg Conte, Melanie Skriabine and Rachel Rambach for contributing to the sound palette.

About Me

My photo
Joe Frawley (b. July 4, 1971) is a composer, pianist and visual artist whose works blur the boundary between music and sound art. By layering and juxtaposing original piano music with processed found sounds, field recordings, and recontextualized speech fragments, the composer creates challenging yet accessible sound assemblages bearing a hypnotic dreamlike quality.
